Here you can watch the famous lace-makers hard at work. A visit to Bruges is not complete without having seen the idyllic Beguine Convent and the romantic Minnewater. By Car (from Brussels/Amsterdam/Calais): - Follow the E40 motorway, take exit 9 for Oostkamp and follow signs for Bruges until you arrive at the ring road. - Cross the ring road and the bridge over the canal where you will arrive in Katelijnestraat. - Drive straight until the Church of Our Lady. - Turn right around the church into the Gruuthusestraat which continues as Dijver along the canal. - After Dijver it continues to Rozenhoedkaai. - Take the 1st street on the right (Pandreitje). - The hotel is the 3rd house on the right. From Bruges Railway Station (2km): - Passing the station, go over the high bridge in front and at the traffic lights cross the bridge on the left where you will arrive in Katelijnestraatt. - Follow above directions. By Taxi: - There are always taxis waiting in front of the railway station. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the hotel. Walking: - Follow directions from the railway station. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the hotel, but it is advisable to drive or take a taxi.

by car : from Brussels : You can get to Bruges via exit 9 (Oostkamp), from here it is 7 km via the N 50 to the ring road. Cross the ring road and drive over the Katelijnepoort bridge (no. 4). + B from Ostend, Calais : via exit 7 (Zedelgem, Bruges) - turn left at the roundabout, drive under the motorway and follow the N 397 to Bruges via Sint-Michiels. You must then drive under the railway bridge and turn right before the roundabout, taking the direction of the station + A + B. from Kortrijk (Courtrai), Lille, Paris : the A 17 has traffic lights once you get near to Bruges and it turns into the N 31. At the 2nd traffic light follow the N 397 to Sint-Michiels and thence to Bruges... + A + B via exit 8 : take the A 17 and the N31. Then follow the N 397 to Sint-Michiels and Bruges …+ A + B A : Bruges via the N 397 (Sint-Michiels) : Drive under the railway bridge and turn right before the roundabout, taking the direction of the station. Keep the station on your right and follow the ring road (R30) until you drive over a high canal bridge. Immediately after this, turn left and cross another bridge: this is Katelijnepoort bridge (no. 4) + B B : Once you have crossed the Katelijnepoort bridge : immediately turn right - along the Gentpoortvest - and continue along this road until on your right you see a medieval gate (the Gentpoort). Simply stay to the left of the Gentpoort, cross the road and continue straight on. You are now driving along the Boninvest. At the canal you have no choice but to follow the turn to the left. Hotel Rosenburg is located at the left corner of the next bridge.

Left from the railway station, you drive under the railway bridge, and +/- 50 metres further, you turn left on the roundabout. +/- 250 metres further, you drive in the tunnel, and keep right. You drive in the underground car park "Centrum", where you can park on either level -1, level -3, and level -5. When coming out of the car park, you are right in front of the hotel. By train: Our hotel is located 800 metres away from the railway station.

We can highly recommend the typically English afternoon tea on our terrace along the waterside. You can also simply sip an aperitif while enjoying the view. We serve drinks round the clock. Our delicious breakfast buffet, including eggs prepared the way you prefer them, was elected the best breakfast in Belgium in 2003.

There are a number of picturesque routes that have been set out and signposted for cycling enthusiasts. You can cycle along various charming villages and polders, while enjoying the beautiful countryside.

How to reach the Hotel NH Bruges ? From the motorway E40 Brussel-Gent-Oostende. Leave the motorway on EXIT 8 (Brugge-Zeebrugge). At the first traffic lights, you will see the NOVOTEL Hotel at your left handside. Just before the second traffic lights, take exit Sint-Michiels at your right handside. Drive straight on, following the signposts « Brugge ». You will come accross two roundabouts where you follow straight on. This leads you to the back of the railway station. Make sure you stay on the right handside of this road, so that you can drive through the short tunnel under the railwaytracks which you can see in front of you when waiting at the first traffic lights. Very shortly after the short tunnel, you can see at your left the beginning of « Boeveriestraat », where the hotel is located at the end. However, it is strictly forbidden to make a left turn there. You need to continue straight ahead towards the roundabout, where you follow the roundabout to come back at the same road in the opposite direction. Once there, you enter the street, now at your right, to find the hotel at the end of the street at your left handside. The luggage can be unloaded in front of the hotel, and the staff will gladly explain you how to find a parking space in the public, underground carpark « Centrum-Zand », which is located in front of the hotel.
